Latasha Michelle Kennedy is a seasoned actor, writer and producer. She has performed in several films and theatrical plays such as Raisin in the Sun, Once Upon a Mattress, and Naomi in the Living Room. She has also sung for two U.S. Presidents, President William Clinton, and for the inauguration of President Barack Obama for nationally televised events which include HBO’s “We Are One: Inauguration Celebration”, “Christmas in Washington”, and “Kennedy Center Honors”. Currently, Latasha is developing several projects for her production company, LMK Entertainment Group, a production company committed to educating, empowering and entertaining young women, young families and the community-at-large.
While committed to being an authentic storyteller, Latasha is equally passionate about being instrumental in the progression of her community. She possesses over 12 years of experience in successfully leading the planning and implementation of multiple programs and initiatives for numerous not-for-profits and start-ups. Currently, she works as Program Director for the Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network (WEEN) Academy, a 4-week summer crash course for young women between 18-22 who want careers in entertainment.
Additionally, she assists emerging artists develop, build, and launch new business ventures, as well as theatrical and film projects. Latasha's streamlined approach to program and business development continues to help her clients identify their goals and develop actionable, measurable plans that accelerate their success. As a result, artists who work with this enthusiastic connector have launched successful production companies, coaching businesses, new media projects, and careers in acting, modeling, beauty, fashion and music.
